"I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by Me."Jesus (John 14:6)

God's Heart for Romania

What is God’s heart for Romania? When the Lord looks at Romania what does He see? What does He feel? What is the longing of His heart? God loves the whole world! He does not delight in the death of the wicked but rather that they turn from their wickedness and live. Paul emphasized the need to pray for all men because, "This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." God has a passionate desire that all might be saved. God has the heart of a shepherd that leaves the 99 sheep in the fold and goes to search for the one lost sheep. He is the father of the prodigal who yearns for his son to return – and welcomes him back with open arms and great rejoicing! Isn’t God’s heart for the lost amazing? The salvation of the lost is so much on God’s heart that he calls every Christian to join in the harvest. The Great Commission explicitly defines Jesus' purpose for the Church until He returns: that is to make disciples of all nations. To fulfill the Great Commission, people from all ethnic groups, all nations and all walks of life need to hear the Good News and have the opportunity to become faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.

The New Testament teaches that the local church is God’s chosen means of making disciples who will in turn reproduce, making other disciples (and in turn birth new churches). To fulfill the Great Commission, a disciple making center (the local church) must be accessible to each man, woman and child within a geographical area. The goal of fulfilling the Great Commission in Romania means that there should be a witnessing, fellowship body of believers within reach of every person so that everyone will be able to hear the Gospel and become faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. Ideally, every city, town, village and neighborhood should have a group of believers who regularly meet to fulfill the three-fold purpose of the church: worship, equipping and multiplication. If the local church is God’s chosen means of making disciples, then church planting is the best method of fulfilling the Great Commission.
